Improv troupe Possible Side Effects collaborated with friend Dan Powell and myself to produce this experiment mixing animation with improvised comedy. Using a single suggestion, our actors created a spontaneous story in front of a live studio audience. For half an hour, the group of eight spun their tale while seven cameras captured the action. Afterwards, we filled in the cast's improvised world. The unique result: a "live" animated film.
A couple months after we finished this piece, Drew Cary announced his own, eerily similar Green Screen on WB. Dang.
